Biography

Stuart Macintyre is experienced in all aspects of senior executive and board room performance across multiple sectors, functions and geographies. He understands the key success drivers of organisational effectiveness at the highest level and is well accustomed to delivering initiatives which support these. He spent the first ten years of his career in generalist HR, ultimately as HR Director and member of the UK Executive Board of a market leading FMCG business. He then focused on Executive Search, operating at senior level with a wide-ranging client base from large international corporations to small independent businesses. He latterly specialised in financial services. This led to his joining his largest client, a major international bank, and establishing a unit which became accountable for the recruitment, assessment, development and deployment of the top 120 executives. He now works independently with organisations on leadership talent strategies and in coaching individuals on their personal effectiveness and success.

Approach to Coaching

Stuart’s experience has given him a perspective on executive careers which few can match. He has run a manufacturing business, interacted with regulators, made numerous appointments to boards and has had deep experience of organisations operating in the industrial, manufacturing, fmcg, financial services, professional services, charity and public sectors. He has operated extensively in Europe, North America, India, the Far East and Australia. All his coaching projects are firmly rooted in measurable outcomes. His experience is most suited to challenges of effectiveness and productivity, resilience and well-being, managing stress and conflicting priorities, improving relationships and impact, and career management. He has a calm and understated style but remains diligently focused on ensuring that concrete objectives are defined and met. He will always go the extra mile to ensure that those he coaches reach their goals.
